A handful of activities kick start summer (calendar be damned), in my book:

• Riding in Rolling Thunder.
• Stuffing one’s gob on fresh Maryland Blue crabs at Cantler’s.
• Whitewater rafting on the Shenandoah & Potomac Rivers.
• Planting enough varieties of tomatoes that we might start our own mini-Tomatina!

Pleased to say we’ve checked off most of this list this week, although we skipped the rally (& corresponding farmer’s tan) in favour of catching tributes on WPFW to Gil Scott-Heron.
